Thrivent Builds

Thrivent Financial for Lutherans has committed $10.4 million to build Habitat for Humanity homes nationwide in 2011, including one home in Oakland!(Press Release)

In 2011, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans will sponsor its sixth home with Habitat East Bay through the Thrivent Builds program. The home will be located in phase two of the Kinsell Commons development in Oakland, just down the road from the 2010 Thrivent Builds home. The home will be built in partnership with the Lutheran community and with the South Alameda County Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.

We are calling upon Lutheran churches and individuals to build the home and fundraise to contribute to the cost of the building materials. In the meantime, we are seeking volunteers to finish building the 2011 Thrivent Builds home. The project is nearing completion - please join us!
