ReStore Donations

ReStore is a construction site materials reuse facility whose profits help build affordable housing in our communities. Please read the commonly accepted items to see our acceptance criteria.

General Donation Requirements

• Appliances
  • All appliances must be fewer than five years old and in near perfect cosmetic condition. Interiors must be clean. Perfect operating condition with all parts and hardware included that are necessary for operation.
• Modular Cabinets
  • All cabinets must be made of solid wood (no particleboard, MDF, melamine, etc.). Visually they must have near perfect cosmetics and should not be damaged. All parts and hardware should be included that are necessary for use.
• Doors and Windows
  • Doors must be solid interior or exterior doors. We do not accept hollow core doors. Doors must have good cosmetics without damage.
  • Sliding closet and pocket doors must be prequalified before acceptance. Door hardware must be undamaged with near perfect cosmetics. Lockset and latches must include all parts that are necessary for use.
• Paint
  • Paint must be interior or exterior latex only. Paint must be in its original container and be full. Containers must have near perfect cosmetics with labels perfectly legible.
• Light Fixtures
  • All light fixtures must have near perfect cosmetics without damage. Fixtures must include all parts necessary for use and be in perfect operating condition.
  • Commercial fixtures, recessed canister fixtures and fluorescent strip lights must be prequalified before acceptance.
• Tools and Power Tools
  • Tools must be undamaged and be in perfect operating condition.
• Bathtubs and Shower Enclosures
  • All items must be new (unused) or have near perfect cosmetics. We do not accept used conventional bathtubs but may make exceptions if the item is unique or an especially fine example. We will only accept shower doors if they are unused or have perfect cosmetics.
• Toilets and Sinks
  • All items must be perfectly clean without damage (no chips, cracks or stains). Fixtures must include all parts necessary for use and be in perfect operating condition. Faucets and other hardware must have good cosmetics without damage and have all parts necessary for operation.
• Lumber and Construction Materials
  • We do not accept scrap and surplus lumber or commodity building materials unless they are unused and are a significant quantity. Call for an evaluation.
• Windows
  • All windows must be dual pane with seals intact (no between-pane condensation). Items must be undamaged with near perfect cosmetics. All parts necessary for operation need to be provided. If windows were formerly installed, they must have been removed properly so that they can be reused. Aluminum clad and metal windows must be prequalified before acceptance.
