ReStore

Habitat East Bay ReStore is a discount building materials reuse outlet where shoppers can find everything from standard windows and doors to unusual tiles and rare vintage finds -- all under one roof.

The ReStore accepts donations of new and saleable, used building materials such as cabinets, lighting and plumbing fixtures, doors, flooring, and windows. Some materials are used to build Habitat for Humanity houses. The rest is sold to the public at 50-75% off the retail price with proceeds going back to Habitat towards building homes in partnership with local low-income families. In fact, each year profits from the ReStore are enough to sponsor an entire Habitat East Bay House.

All the items at the ReStore are donated items from organizations or individuals in the community. These in-kind gifts help divert waste from area landfills, often qualify as tax deductible gifts for donors, as well as provide consumers the opportunity to buy high-quality, discounted appliances and construction materials.

The ReStore offers HUGE DISCOUNTS on building supplies making your home improvements more affordable, while helping support affordable housing. Shoppers can find a variety of goods from stainless steel appliances and light fixtures to paint and building materials. The inventory changes by the hour with each donation and purchase made. Stop in to browse our inventory or call in advance to find what you’re looking for. If we don't have what you need, check back often.

Because our affiliate uses many of the donated items in the homes that we build for low-income families, our acceptance criteria are quite high. There are many re-use facilities in the East Bay that might be interested in your donations.
