• Family Selection Committee (FSC)
  • Help select HEB's newest partner families by identifying applicants that would meet our selection criteria. Conduct interviews, attend home visits, and review applications. • Family Resource Committee (FRC)
  • The Family Resource Committee assists partners families as they transition to homeownership. • Faith Partners Committee
  • Help build and strengthen partnerships with the faith community by providing meaningful opportunities for faith groups to engage with and support Habitat East Bay. Committee members make presentations at church services and promote volunteer, fundraising, and prayer support opportunities. Contact Volunteer@HabitatEB.org.
• The Green Team
  • The Green Team is a group of volunteers from the community and board members with a strong interest in Habitat East Bay's green building success. Volunteers generally have professional experience in the design and building fields.
  • Volunteer opportunities for this group include: public speaking events on and off-site, annual event participation with the Build-A-Thon, Executive Build, and Dedication, and other opportunities as they arise. • Speaker's Bureau
  • Help us spread the word about Habitat East Bay! Use your voice to inspire our community to work together to revitalize our neighborhoods through affordable homeownership opportunities. Volunteers are needed to conduct outreach by staffing tabling events and by speaking at schools, community events, and faith services. • ReStore
  • Habitat ReStore needs volunteers to help manage the store, assist customers and keep merchandise in order and stocked. If you like working with people and in fun environments, this will be a great experience for you. Sign-up now!
• The All Women's Crew
  • Join with other women to volunteer and financially support Habitat East Bay. As they assist partner families building their homes, Women's Crew members acquire skills they can use to repair and maintain their own homes. • Engineering, Surveying, Real Estate, and Legal Professionals
  • We are looking for engineers, surveyors, real estate professionals, and housing development and legal consultants interested in donating their professional services. Contact Natalie Monk at NMonk@HabitatEB.org or 510-251-6304 x312.
• Translation Services
  • On-call volunteers who are fluent in Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese or Vietnamese are needed to translate documents and flyers, and to translate during meetings and events. Contact  Homeowner@habitatEB.org.
• Office Volunteers and Data Entry Specialists
  • Help in our downtown Oakland office with database entry, filing, mailings, and other general office duties. Hours are flexible, but a weekly commitment is requested. To get invovled now, please fill out our application and send to jdala@habitateb.org or fax to 510-251-6309.
