Habitat for Humanity East BayHabitat for Humanity East Bay has been selected as one of the top affiliates in the nation to participate in a new and innovative national program called the Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative (NRI). As a partner in the program, Habitat East Bay will receive Strategic Investment Grants (SIG) to make an impact in East Bay communities as a part of a broader national effort to strengthen community outreach and development efforts, community-based partnerships, and program evaluation techniques.
Habitat East Bay is creating solutions by working in partnership with local government entities and community supporters to purchase abandoned homes, renovate them using volunteer labor and sell them to low-income families at affordable prices. This innovative program has turned blight into opportunity, giving hard working, low-income families a place to call home.
